Zoom Lectures

The Centre for Parish Church Studies has arranged a short series of public Zoom lectures for the winter season, exploring various aspects of church history and architecture. Each is given by an expert in his or her own field and lasts an hour.

For those who haven`t used Zoom before it doesn`t require anything special on your computer – you just click the link you will be sent (or paste into your browser) and register your name and email address. Tickets are £5 per lecture.

Heavenly Gardens Walking Quiz

Supporters of the Heavenly Gardens project to transform city churchyards in to community gardens have created a walking quiz to raise funds. The walk is suitable for individuals or households, is 3 km and takes roughly 1.5 hrs. It is free but there is an optional donation which will help to match the £5,000 pledged by the City Council to help encourage more volunteers by providing training. Residents will be encouraged to join in gardening activities, which should benefit their health and general well-being.

This quiz has been created by Rotary member, Willem Buttinger, as a similar quiz intended to be run in conjunction with the Plantation Garden and Rotary last summer had to be postponed.

Please, always follow the latest government guidelines and laws relating to Covid-19.
