Thursday 12 May 2022 │ 19:00 │ in person event

St Martin at Palace Church, 15 St Martin at Palace Plain, Norwich, NR3 1RW

Dr Tim Pestell is Senior Curator of Archaeology at Norfolk Museums Service and interpretation lead for Norwich Castle: Royal Palace Reborn, a £13.5m project to transform the iconic Norman Keep, one of Europe’s most important medieval castles.

The project, which is well underway, will reinstate the medieval floors and rooms in the Castle Keep so that all visitors will be able to experience a Norman royal palace and its stories. He will explore what visitors can expect when the keep re-opens next year, including a new medieval gallery being created in partnership with the British Museum, and some of the fascinating archaeological discoveries that have been made during the works.
